‘Numbers in Everyday Life: Triggering children’s curiosity about numbers and supporting family engagement with mathematics-related ideas, early in children’s lives’

It was a real pleasure to welcome Early Years educators from across Southampton to the Avenue Campus at the University of Southampton. Together, we explored how to strengthen the connections between children’s early mathematics learning experiences at home and in preschool or nursery settings, and how meaningful, collaborative relationships with families can support children’s early number knowledge.
